One of the slowest and most un-rewarding games I've played. Never have enough space for new buildings, expansions are unnecessarily expensive which slows everything down even more. Production buildings hardly produce enough to keep up at any pace, residential buildings house a very small amount of people. And far too many features of the game rely heavily upon diamonds, which of course you have to pay to aquire. Don't download this game if you don't plan on spending 2 years before any results.

I was promted to switch servers and in so doing lost all my research and progress. I also noticed that I had lost stuff that was in my inventory. I wasn't compensated any of the diamonds that I had spent and was basically starting over with less than I had started with. What a ripp off. I don't do in game purchases and this is hard enough without restarting from a loss.

For years, I loved this game. Now, every event has pay-to-win tiers that greatly increase atk and def stats of event buildings for those willing or able to pay. Purchasing the highest tiers for each event ($30 per event) are the ONLY way to fully upgrade event buildings now. Fastest way to kill a fun game - make it pay-to-win. The addition of ads a while back was bad enough, this is game breaking. Most of my guild has already left and I was one of the die-hard holdouts. Now, I'm out too. Sad.

Hi! Forge of Empires is a completely free game and entire content is available free of charge. You can get every building and get to every possible area without spending anything :]. You of course can purchase premium currency in order to speed everything up, but it is in no way required or needed to progress through the game.
