I can't even open anything in this app. All of my files are 'invisible'? I can't see anything but the grey background. What's even worse is that if I delete something on accident, I can't retrieve it in the trash folder because LITERALLY NOTHING SHOWS UP. Please fix this, I saw another review addressing this issue, so I assume it's affecting a bigger crowd.

Files do not open or load to be deleted for the past week. There is simply nothing to view or select. I am unable to clear space from my phone. I've tried everything, seems like a pretty major bug. Going to switch to Iphone because I am so deeply frustrated. I've sunk over 10 hours into trying to clear space from my phone unsuccessfully at this point. Google product quality has gone so far downhill.

Trying to listen to music through Google files is an awful experience. It randomly stops whenever it plays in the background. And when you aren't leaving it in the background, it'll stop when you eventually leave the app open! And sometimes when you have a lot of audio in one folder, the app crashes when you try to rename a file. Not to mention the shuffle feature doesn't shuffle everything, it only shuffles up to a limit instead of the entire folder. And there's now queue either.

What's new
When you scan a document, it’s saved in your device’s Scanned folder.
“Documents & other” category is now called “Documents” to make it easier to find PDF files. Other files, like backup and database files, can be found in “Downloads” or “Internal storage”.
Over the next few weeks, we’ll roll out search improvements like recently opened files, quick results, and dropdown filters to make finding files even easier.
